Cynthia O’Donnell DOM is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Physician licensed in the State of Florida since 1988. Since then, has made a lifelong commitment to training in, promoting, and advocating Complementary Alternative Medicine spanning ancient and indigenous healing medicinal practices to homeopathy, anti-aging super foods, and frequency medicine. She is a practitioner, author, teacher, and leader in the acupuncture and complimentary alternative medicine fields. 

In 1996 she founded and was president for 16 years, of East West College of Natural Medicine, an acupuncture and Chinese medicine college in Sarasota, Florida. In addition to her training in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, she has trained and been certified in massage therapy, homeopathy, frequency medicine, counseling, herbology, nutrition, meditation, qi gong/tai qi, shamanic healing, energy healing, Kambo Frog detoxification, and clinical hypnotherapy.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

Clinical Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis. Hypnosis creates a changed state of awareness and increased relaxation in a person that allows for improved focus and attention.

Initial Acupuncture Consultation

If you have chosen to start with a free Acupuncture consultation, your first visit will last approximately 30 minutes. During this time your practitioner will review your paperwork and answer any questions you may have about how Acupuncture and other Oriental Medicine therapies may benefit you.

Consultations are primarily a time for you to get your questions answered so that you can decide whether you wish to proceed with treatment. If you choose to go ahead with Acupuncture, your next visit will be an Initial Treatment.

Acupuncture Appointment - One hour

Acupuncture can treat many types of health issues. Most often, people use it to relieve chronic (long-term) pain, such as:

  • Arthritis.
  • Back pain, neck pain or muscle pain.
  • Headaches and migraines.
  • Knee pain.
  • Menstrual cramps.
  • Sports injuries.

Acupuncture can help relieve pain and treat a range of other complaints.

Currently, her practice focuses on using acupuncture and clinical hypnosis to assist patients suffering with pain, anxiety, sleep disruption, weight loss, gut issues, and business/personal growth struggles. She supports people in managing their health, improving mental and emotional states, and achieving the life and health changes they are seeking to achieve. She helps people reprogram their brain and use the power of the mind to clear negative thinking and empower positive reprogramming. 

She has a passion for preserving and utilizing ancient and Indigenous healing practices, and believes those cultures have valuable contributions to health and healing, and that people of the modern world deserve to have access to these worldwide heritages. She also believes in cutting edge anti- aging health regimes, and nutrition for bio and brain hacking in support of optimum health. She has served on the boards of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Association for Chinese American Enrichment, and the Advisory Board of Alternative Medicine Curriculum Committee for Florida State Commission of Independent Education. She has acted as a business strategist for start up businesses in the clean tech field and has served on the board of the Sustainability Development Impact Awards. She supports clean environment initiatives, as a clean environment and stable eco system help sustain good health, peace of mind, and the sustainability of life on our planet.
